Alibaba's Qwen AI team has released Qwen-Image-2.1 as an open-weight image generation and editing model. It supports transparent image output for object isolation and text editing, handles up to ten reference images simultaneously for tasks like virtual try-ons or room design, and allows localized edits using circles, masks, or painted marks.
