Black Forest Labs put a price on twenty seconds of generated video

FLUX 3 Video is generally available from six cents a second in draft HD, with native audio. The claim that it beats Seedance 2.0 is the company's own ranking.

Black Forest Labs has made FLUX 3 Video generally available. It generates clips up to 20 seconds at HD and Full HD, with native audio including dialogue, sound effects and ambience, and lip-synced speech in more than 14 languages. It handles text-to-video, image-to-video, keyframes, continuation and multiple scenes, and renders typography directly.

The published prices are per second of output: six cents for draft HD from text or an image, 17 cents at full quality HD, 29 cents at Full HD, with video-to-video roughly double at each tier. Audio is included at every tier. That puts a finished HD minute somewhere between about $3.60 and $10.20 depending on quality, which is the number worth writing down, because the cost of a finished video minute is one of the curves this project tracks, at manyminded.com/curve/aiVideoCost.

The headline claim is a different kind of thing. Black Forest Labs reports that FLUX 3 tops its own Elo rankings at 1,135 for text-to-video and 1,051 for image-to-video, ahead of competitors including Seedance 2.0. That is a self-run evaluation with no third-party arbiter, and the source describes no head-to-head testing behind the comparison. Also worth stating: this is API access and select partners, not open weights. The price is real and transactable; the ranking is a vendor's account of its own product.
