CoolIT Systems (an Ecolab subsidiary) achieves near-total heat capture in liquid-cooled AI server racks. Their modular coldplate designs across six generations enable this for racks exceeding 250 kW power density—where air cooling fails. At this threshold, a 70/30 liquid-air split reduces the air cooling load from 250 kW to 75 kW. Air cooling becomes cost-prohibitive for racks above 250 kW power density.
