EVE Energy and Fluence agree to framework for 206 GWh of battery deliveries

Chinese battery maker EVE Energy and U.S. storage supplier Fluence enter framework for 206 GWh of grid-scale battery capacity

EVE Energy, a Chinese battery manufacturer, has entered into a framework agreement with Fluence Energy Global Production Operation, LLC, a U.S. energy storage supplier, to deliver up to 206 GWh of battery capacity between 2027 and 2031. The agreement, signed by EVE Energy's subsidiary Hubei EVE Power, commits 16 GWh for 2027 and reserves 190 GWh for delivery from 2028 through 2031. Specific terms like quantities, prices, and delivery schedules will be determined through subsequent purchase orders.

This framework signals potential for increased grid-scale storage capacity as the first step toward scaling battery deployment. The arrangement could help meet growing energy demands while supporting grid stability through future storage commitments.

Implementation remains conditional on market conditions and policy shifts. EVE Energy has warned that changes in industry policy, market conditions, or unforeseen factors could affect delivery timelines. The agreement does not yet constitute binding storage capacity but establishes a pathway for future procurement.
