Geely launched the Galaxy TT electric sedan on September 10, 2026, with its entry-level variant starting at 129,900 yuan ($19,170) — 11% below August 2026 pre-sale pricing. This model features a 640-km CLTC range (up from 540 km) and a 63.8-kWh battery that achieves 10%-80% charging in 11.8 minutes. The vehicle uses CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries and an 800-volt platform standard across all variants.
The price reduction and range improvement directly address affordability and practicality barriers for Chinese EV adoption. Geely Auto’s August 2026 sales data shows 270,194 vehicles sold (8.01% YoY growth), with exports rising 205% to 110,094 units — indicating strong market positioning despite a 25% YoY drop in domestic sales.
This launch moves mobility abundance by making EVs more accessible for price-sensitive Chinese consumers without sacrificing range or charging speed. The 11% price drop and 100-km range gain represent tangible progress toward balancing affordability and utility in the domestic market.
