Prototype electric motorhome targets 80 charging stops for global trips

Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 with Bliss motorhome prototype claims 1,000 km range per charge for a 45,000 km circumnavigation goal.

A one-off collaboration between Daimler Trucks, Bliss Mobil, and driver Tobias Wagner has developed a prototype electric motorhome for the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600. The vehicle claims 1,000 km (621 miles) range per charge using a 621-kWh triple-LFP battery pack, targeting a 45,000 km (28,000 mile) global trip requiring 80 charging stops. It features 400-kW CCS2 fast-charging ports (70 minutes) and is prepped for 1.2-megawatt MCS charging (30 minutes). Weight reduction to 15,500 kg (34,170 lb) from standard 22,000 kg enables this range. The project debuted at 2026 Adventure & Allwheel show in Germany.

This prototype demonstrates potential for long-range electric mobility but remains a single vehicle. Its 1,000 km range claim requires hypermiling techniques and may vary with payload and conditions. The project is not intended for mass production and does not yet move abundance for cross-country travel. What matters next: whether this technical approach scales to affordable, mass-produced vehicles that reduce charging friction for long trips.
