LatConnect 60 and Phi Earth Technologies have formed a strategic partnership to integrate satellite Earth Observation with field intelligence for nature-based projects. The collaboration focuses initially on regenerative agriculture in Malaysia and Australia, targeting specific crops like napier grass, sweet sorghum, and agave. LatConnect 60 plans to launch two Short Wave Infra Red (SWIR) satellites in Q1 2027, with a target of an 18-satellite SWIRSAT constellation operational by 2029. This constellation receives support from the Australian Space Agency and the Government of Western Australia. The partnership aims to create an Earth Observation-enabled Digital Twin for environmental projects, covering the full lifecycle from planning through ongoing monitoring.

The mechanism combines LatConnect 60’s satellite capabilities with Phi Earth’s audit-ready digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (dMRV) platform to track biomass and regenerative practices. This integration addresses gaps in climate-resilient farming by providing precise, real-time data on crop health and soil conditions. For the need of food security (SUSTENANCE), it could reduce the risk of crop failure from drought or pests while lowering monitoring costs for smallholder farmers. The partnership also strengthens climate resilience (SECURITY) by enabling early detection of environmental stressors.
