UK humanoid startup raises $152M with Bosch and Schaeffler backing

Humanoid closed a $152M Series A at a $1.35B valuation, with Schaeffler as strategic partner and Bosch as contract manufacturer.

UK-based Humanoid announced a $152 million Series A on July 21, 2026, setting a $1.35 billion post-money valuation and bringing its total raised to $270 million, according to The Robot Report. Founded as SKL Robotics Ltd. in 2024 and led by CEO Artem Sokolov, the company builds the HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled version, a bimanual mobile manipulator running on its KinetIQ AI framework.

What gives the round weight is its industrial backing. Schaeffler AG is a strategic investor and commercial partner, and Robert Bosch GmbH, through Robert Bosch Robotics GmbH, is Humanoid's contract manufacturing partner. The company plans to roll out Beta robots in Q4 2026 and begin mass production of wheel-based semi-humanoid units, with contract manufacturing suggesting an intent to move beyond prototypes.

For the labor side of abundance, general-purpose robots that can be mass-produced at industrial cost could eventually lower the price of physical work in warehouses, factories, and logistics. Deep-pocketed manufacturing partners are the kind of infrastructure that turns lab demos into shipped hardware, which is the real hurdle for the humanoid field.

The caveats are the usual ones for the sector. Humanoid's claim of the largest Series A for a Europe-based humanoid company is its own. The company describes a strong pipeline and partnerships without disclosing financial figures, mass production is a plan rather than an accomplishment, and the field is crowded: Germany's NEURA Robotics has opened a Series C aiming for $1.4 billion.
